Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Real Estate IQ (the “App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Real Estate IQ mobile application, related support pages, and associated services.

Real Estate IQ is an independent educational application designed to help users prepare for real estate licensing examinations. It is not affiliated with a state licensing authority, testing provider, real estate commission, or the National Association of REALTORS®.

2. Information we handle

Information stored on your device

The App may store the following information locally on your device so it can provide and personalize the study experience:

• Your name or profile display name;
• Your selected licensing state and planned exam date;
• Study preferences, including audio, reminder, and haptic settings;
• Questions answered, selected answers, accuracy, practice sessions, and mistakes;
• Completed lessons, study time, streaks, category mastery, and readiness estimates; and
• Onboarding and mission progress.

Support communications

If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, screenshots, device details, and other information needed to understand and respond to your request.

Purchase and entitlement information

Apple may provide the App with limited transaction and entitlement information needed to determine whether a subscription or non-consumable purchase is active. This can include a product identifier, transaction status, subscription status, expiration information, or revocation information. We do not receive your complete credit-card or bank-account details.

Diagnostics

Apple may provide developers with aggregated or limited crash and diagnostic information when users choose to share diagnostics with developers through their Apple device settings. This information may include device type, operating-system version, app version, crash logs, and performance data.

3. How information is used

Information handled by the App may be used to:

• Provide study lessons, practice sessions, diagnostics, and mock-exam experiences;
• Calculate progress, accuracy, category mastery, and educational readiness estimates;
• Personalize daily missions and recommend the next useful study action;
• Remember your preferences and exam target;
• Verify, restore, and maintain access to purchased features;
• Respond to support requests and investigate reported problems;
• Maintain the security, stability, and performance of the App; and
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce applicable terms.

4. Subscriptions and purchases

Real Estate IQ may offer auto-renewable subscriptions and a non-consumable Lifetime Access purchase through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes payments, billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds according to Apple’s terms and privacy practices.

The App uses Apple StoreKit transaction information to unlock eligible features and restore previous purchases. You can manage or cancel an active subscription through your Apple Account subscription settings.

Deleting the App does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. A non-consumable purchase may be restored when you are signed in with the Apple Account originally used to purchase it.

5. Apple and other service providers

The App relies on Apple technologies and services that may process information under Apple’s own privacy policy, including:

• Apple App Store and StoreKit for purchases and entitlement verification;
• Apple operating-system storage and device services;
• Apple crash and diagnostic reporting, when enabled by the user; and
• Apple system features used to open email, links, subscription management, or notifications.

Our public website and support pages may be hosted by Shopify or another website provider. Those services may process ordinary technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, cookies required for site operation, and request logs under their own policies.

6. When information may be shared

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for third-party cross-context behavioral advertising.

Information may be disclosed only when reasonably necessary:

• To service providers acting on our behalf to operate, secure, or support the App;
• To process and verify App Store purchases through Apple;
• To comply with applicable law, legal process, or a valid governmental request;
• To protect the rights, safety, security, or property of users, the public, or the App; or
• As part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.

7. Data retention

Study progress and preferences stored locally generally remain on your device until you reset progress, clear app data, or delete the App. Deleting the App may remove locally stored information and may not be reversible.

Support communications may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain support records, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations. Transaction records are retained by Apple according to Apple’s policies. We may retain limited records when required by law or necessary to protect legitimate interests.

8. Your choices and controls

Depending on your device and the App version, you may be able to:

• Edit your name, licensing state, exam date, and study preferences inside the App;
• Disable audio, reminders, notifications, or haptic feedback;
• Reset locally stored study progress from the Profile area;
• Control Apple analytics and diagnostic sharing in device settings;
• Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account;
• Restore eligible purchases using the same Apple Account; and
• Delete the App to remove locally stored App information from the device.

Resetting study progress or deleting local App data does not cancel an active subscription.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no device, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and Apple Account.

10. Children’s privacy

Real Estate IQ is designed for individuals preparing for professional real estate licensing and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and address the situation.

11. Privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning personal information, such as the right to request access, correction, deletion, or information about how personal information is used or disclosed.

Because much of the App’s study information is stored only on your device, we may not possess or be able to identify that local information. You can use the App’s profile and reset controls to manage locally stored progress.

To make a privacy request regarding information we may hold, email loveforlocals@gmail.com. We may need to verify your request before responding. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the App, its features, or applicable requirements change. When we make changes, we will update the effective date shown above. Material changes may also be communicated through the App or another appropriate method.

Your continued use of Real Estate IQ after an updated policy becomes effective is subject to the updated policy.
