TUNA IQ PRIVACY

1. Overview

Tuna IQ is an offshore fishing decision-support application designed to help anglers evaluate fishing zones, review offshore conditions, plan runs, organize on-water observations, and learn from completed trips.

We aim to collect only the information reasonably necessary to provide and improve the app.

2. Information You Provide

Depending on how you use Tuna IQ, you may provide information directly inside the app.

• Your selected target tuna species.
• Vessel fuel capacity.
• Estimated cruise fuel burn.
• Estimated cruise speed.
• Fishing-zone selections and trip planning inputs.
• On-water observations such as bait, birds, sonar marks, and surface activity.
• Trip outcomes such as bites, hookups, and landed fish.
• Trip notes and other information you choose to enter.
• Support information you voluntarily send to us by email.

3. Information Stored on Your Device

Some Tuna IQ information may be stored locally on your device using Apple-provided storage technologies such as UserDefaults.

This can include items such as your selected species, vessel settings, and saved Trip IQ records.

4. Subscriptions and Purchases

Tuna IQ may offer optional automatically renewing subscriptions for Tuna IQ Pro features.

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. Tuna IQ does not receive your full payment-card information.

• Apple handles purchase authorization and billing.
• Tuna IQ may receive subscription entitlement information needed to determine whether Pro access is active.
• Restore Purchases uses Apple's StoreKit services.
• Subscription management and cancellation occur through your Apple account.

5. Map and Offshore Intelligence Features

Tuna IQ may display maps, offshore fishing zones, environmental layers, or other geographic information using third-party map or data services.

These services may process technical information necessary to deliver maps or related content according to their own privacy policies and service terms.

Tuna IQ does not currently require access to your precise device location merely to display sample or selected offshore zones. If location-based features are added in the future, the app will request Apple location permission before accessing device location.

6. Technical Information

Like many apps and online services, certain technical information may be processed automatically by Apple, hosting providers, map providers, or other infrastructure used to deliver Tuna IQ.

This may include information such as device type, operating-system version, app version, crash information, diagnostics, network information, or basic service-request metadata.

We use this information for purposes such as operating the app, troubleshooting problems, maintaining reliability, preventing abuse, and improving performance.

7. How We Use Information

Information associated with Tuna IQ may be used to:

• Provide Tuna IQ features and functionality.
• Remember your app settings and preferences.
• Generate fishing decision-support results based on inputs you provide.
• Maintain Trip IQ history on your device.
• Determine Tuna IQ Pro subscription access.
• Respond to support requests.
• Diagnose bugs and improve app reliability.
• Protect the app and services from misuse or technical problems.

8. Selling Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information to advertisers.

We also do not use your fishing-trip data to create advertising profiles for sale to third parties.

9. Third-Party Services

Tuna IQ may rely on third-party platforms or services to provide certain functionality.

• Apple App Store and StoreKit for purchases and subscriptions.
• Apple operating-system services used by the app.
• Mapbox or other map providers for map rendering where applicable.
• Website and hosting providers used for support and privacy pages.

Third-party services operate under their own terms and privacy practices. Their collection and use of information are governed by their respective policies.

10. Data Retention

Information stored locally by Tuna IQ may remain on your device until you remove or reset it, delete the app, or your device removes the stored application data.

Support communications may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to requests, maintain support records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, or protect our rights.

11. Your Choices

You control the information you choose to enter into Tuna IQ.

• You may choose not to enter optional trip notes or observations.
• You may change vessel settings inside the app.
• You may delete the app to remove locally stored application data from the device, subject to Apple device behavior and backups.
• You may manage or cancel App Store subscriptions through your Apple account.
• You may contact us with privacy questions or support requests.

12. Children's Privacy

Tuna IQ is designed for general fishing and boating audiences and is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children under the age required by applicable law for independent consent.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us improperly, please contact us so we can review the situation.

13. Fishing, Marine, and Safety Information

Tuna IQ provides fishing decision-support information and planning estimates. Information provided by the app should not be relied upon as a substitute for proper marine navigation, official weather information, vessel documentation, safety equipment, emergency services, or the operator's own judgment.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as Tuna IQ changes, new features are introduced, third-party services change, or legal requirements evolve.

When this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
